A Letter to You Who is Facing New
I know you have no idea what you're doing. But, you are positive, so that's great.
Just to let you know though, you'll probably never know what you're doing, and your positivity will run thin.
Thankfully, within your eventual confusion, and consuming negativity, you will find threads of hope that hold you together.
Get your thoughts out of your head and onto paper. It'll take you a long time, and maybe that's frustrating. Maybe it'll get faster, but maybe it won't. So, for now, let your persevering endurance fuel you on forward.
Don't second guess who you are, your thoughts and your passion. It all comes from somewhere, even when you can't pin it down.
Carry on trudging and embracing the sorrow.
You'll be fine my dear child, you'll be fine, you'll be fine.
I wrote this during Live the Dream. Around the middle of the program, we had to do a reflection exercise which included writing a letter to ourselves on our first day of the course.
I've now made the move to Auckland to start my next big adventure, and although exciting, I find it incredibly scary and confusing. So reading/writing this again has been a much-needed bit of self-therapy.
